ताननादृत्य गन्धर्वास्तद्‌ वनं विविशुर्महत्‌ । यदा वाचा न तिष्ठन्ति धार्तराष्ट्रा: सराजका:

tān anādṛtya gandharvāstad vanaṁ viviśur mahat | yadā vācā na tiṣṭhanti dhārtarāṣṭrāḥ sarājakāḥ ||

Mengabaikan mereka, para Gandharwa memasuki rimba yang luas itu. Sebab ketika para Dhārtarāṣṭra—bersama rajanya—tidak berpegang pada kata-kata yang beralasan, mereka menjadi tak terkendali dan menerjang maju tanpa mengindahkan nasihat.
