स्कन्द उवाच मातरो हि भवत्यो मे भवतीनामहं सुतः । उच्यतां यन्मया कार्य भवतीनामथेप्सितम्,स्कन्दने कहा--आप मेरी माताएँ हैं। मैं आपलोगोंका पुत्र हूँ। मुझसे सिद्ध होनेयोग्य जो आपका अभीष्ट कार्य हो, उसे बताइये
Skanda uvāca: mātaro hi bhavatyo me bhavatīnām ahaṁ sutaḥ | ucyatāṁ yan mayā kāryaṁ bhavatīnām atha īpsitam ||
Skanda berkata: “Kalian sungguh para ibuku, dan aku adalah putra kalian. Katakanlah tugas apa yang harus kulakukan—apa pun yang kalian kehendaki dan dapat terlaksana melalui diriku.”
