शक्तिर्धर्मो बल॑ तेज: कान्तत्वं सत्यमुन्नतिः । ब्रह्माण्यत्वमसम्मोहो भक्तानां परिरक्षणम्,राजन! शक्ति, धर्म, बल, तेज, कान्ति, सत्य, उन्नति, ब्राह्मणभक्ति, असम्मोह (विवेक), भक्तजनोंकी रक्षा, सुनका संहार और समस्त लोकोंका पालन--ये सारे गुण स्कन्दके साथ ही उत्पन्न हुए थे
śaktir dharmo balaṁ tejaḥ kāntatvaṁ satyam unnatiḥ | brāhmaṇyatvam asammoho bhaktānāṁ parirakṣaṇam, rājan! |
Wahai raja! Daya, dharma, kekuatan, kemilau, keelokan bercahaya, kebenaran, keluhuran; bakti kepada para Brahmana, kejernihan budi yang tak tergoyahkan, serta perlindungan bagi para bhakta—semua kebajikan ini lahir bersamaan dengan Skanda.
