Adhyāya 22: Śālva’s Weapon-Shower, Dāruka’s Wounding, and the Māyā-Report of Vasudeva’s Father
समवाय: स राजेन्द्र सुमहाद्भुतदर्शन: । आसीन्महात्मनां तेषां काम्यके भरतर्षभ,भरतवंशभूषण महाराज जनमेजय! उस समय काम्यकवनमें उन महात्माओंका बड़ा अद्भुत सम्मेलन जुटा था
samavāyaḥ sa rājendra sumahādbhuta-darśanaḥ | āsīn mahātmanāṃ teṣāṃ kāmyake bharatarṣabha ||
Waiśampāyana berkata: Wahai raja terbaik, pertemuan para mahātmā itu sungguh agung dan menakjubkan untuk disaksikan. Di hutan Kāmyaka, para insan berhati luhur berkumpul dalam sidang yang luar biasa.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the moral and spiritual significance of a noble assembly: the presence of mahātman-s makes a gathering not merely social but ethically charged, inspiring reverence and setting the stage for dharmic counsel and reflection.
Vaiśampāyana narrates to King Janamejaya that, in the Kāmyaka forest, an extraordinary and awe-inspiring gathering of great-souled persons took place—signaling an important moment of meeting and discourse in the forest setting.
