धृष्टकेतु: स्वसारं च समादायाथ चेदिराट् । जगाम पाण्डवान् दृष्टवा रम्यां शुक्तिमतीं पुरीम्,चेदिराज धृष्टकेतु भी अपनी बहिन करेणुमतीको, जो नकुलकी भार्या थी, साथ ले पाण्डवोंसे मिल-जुलकर अपनी सुरम्य राजधानी शुक्तिमतीपुरीको चले गये
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | Dhṛṣṭaketuḥ svasāraṃ ca samādāyātha Cedirāṭ jagāma Pāṇḍavān dṛṣṭvā ramyāṃ Śuktimatīṃ purīm |
Kemudian Dhṛṣṭaketu, raja Cedi, membawa serta saudari perempuannya; ia menemui para Pāṇḍava, dan setelah menyaksikan kota Śuktimatī yang elok, ia pun melanjutkan perjalanan ke sana.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma in social and political life: maintaining bonds of kinship, strengthening alliances through personal meeting, and acting with propriety in relations between families and kingdoms.
Dhṛṣṭaketu, the Cedi king, takes his sister with him and goes to meet the Pāṇḍavas; he sees the beautiful city of Śuktimatī and proceeds there, indicating a movement toward friendly association and shared residence/visit.
