व्यभिचाराक्नरेन्द्राणां धर्म: संकीर्यते महान् | अधर्मो वर्धते चापि संकीर्यन्ते ततः प्रजा:,राजाओंके व्यभिचार-दोषसे धर्म अत्यन्त संकीर्ण हो जाता है और अधर्म बढ़ जाता है, इससे प्रजामें वर्णसंकरता आ जाती है
vyabhicārākṛta-nṛpāṇāṃ dharmaḥ saṅkīryate mahān | adharmo vardhate cāpi saṅkīryante tataḥ prajāḥ ||
Bila para raja jatuh ke dalam cela perselingkuhan, tatanan dharma yang agung pun menjadi kacau dan tercampur. Adharma lalu menguat, dan akibatnya rakyat menjadi bercampur-baur serta kehilangan keteraturan sosial.
व्याध उवाच
The ruler’s personal morality is not private: when kings commit vyabhicāra, dharma in society becomes confused, adharma expands, and the people follow into disorder—showing the ethical responsibility of leadership.
In the Vyādha’s instruction on dharma, he explains to his listener that the moral failings of rulers—especially sexual misconduct—corrupt the broader social and religious order, leading to widespread confusion among the populace.
