काम क्रोधं च हर्ष च भयं मोहं तथैव च । ममैव विद्धि रोमाणि सर्वाण्येतानि सत्तम,मद्विधानेन विहिता मम देहविहारिण: । मया<<विर्भूतविज्ञाना विचेष्टन्ते न कामत: ब्रह्म! जिस शुभ कर्मोके आचरणसे मनुष्यको कल्याणकी प्राप्ति होती है, वे सत्य, दान, उग्र तपस्या और किसी भी प्राणीकी हिंसा न करनेका स्वभाव--ये सब मेरे ही विधानसे निर्मित हुए हैं और मेरे ही शरीरमें विहार करते हैं। मैं समस्त प्राणियोंके ज्ञानको जब प्रकट कर देता हूँ, तभी वे चेष्टाशील होते हैं, अन्यथा अपनी इच्छासे वे कुछ नहीं कर सकते

kāmaṃ krodhaṃ ca harṣaṃ ca bhayaṃ mohaṃ tathaiva ca | mamaiva viddhi romāṇi sarvāṇy etāni sattama, madvidhānena vihitā mama deha-vihāriṇaḥ | mayā ’virbhūta-vijñānā viceṣṭante na kāmataḥ ||

Sang Dewa bersabda: “Wahai yang terbaik di antara orang baik, ketahuilah bahwa hasrat, amarah, kegirangan, ketakutan, dan kebingungan bagaikan rambut-rambut pada tubuh-Ku sendiri—ditetapkan oleh titah-Ku dan bergerak di dalam keberadaan-Ku. Hanya ketika Aku menyingkapkan pengetahuan di dalam makhluk, barulah mereka mampu bertindak; jika tidak, mereka tak melakukan apa pun semata-mata karena kehendak pribadi.”
