जानामि त्वां परिश्रान्तं ततो विश्रामकाड्क्षिणम् । मार्कण्डेय इहास्स्व त्वं यावदिच्छसि भार्गव
jānāmi tvāṃ pariśrāntaṃ tato viśrāmakāṅkṣiṇam | mārkaṇḍeya ihāssva tvaṃ yāvad icchasi bhārgava ||
“Aku tahu engkau letih, maka engkau mendambakan istirahat. Wahai Mārkaṇḍeya, wahai Bhārgava—tinggallah di sini selama yang kau kehendaki.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic sensitivity: recognizing another’s fatigue and offering rest without constraint. Respectful hospitality toward sages and guests is presented as a natural expression of compassion and right conduct.
Vaiśampāyana addresses the sage Mārkaṇḍeya, acknowledging his weariness and inviting him to remain and rest there for as long as he wishes, using the honorific epithet “Bhārgava.”
