yaccāpi dravyam upayujyate ha vānaspatyam āyasaṃ pārthivaṃ vā | divyena rūpeṇa ca prajñayā ca tenaiva siddhir iti viddhi vidvan ||

Wahai orang bijak!

Educational Q&A

Ritual efficacy (siddhi) is achieved through the proper use of concrete offerings—plant-based, metal-based, and earth-based—because the divine presence addressed in the rite is affirmed and sustained through both sacred manifestation (divya rūpa) and discerning understanding (prajñā).

Takṣya instructs a learned interlocutor about the kinds of substances used in sacrificial rites and asserts that these very materials, when duly employed, bring about the intended completion of the rite by confirming his divinely endowed form and wisdom.
