Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)

Educational Q&A

A meaningful human life requires purposeful striving—cultivating knowledge (vidyā), discipline (tapas), generosity (dāna), and responsible household duty including righteous progeny (prajana). Neglecting these dharmic pursuits leads to lack of fulfillment here and loss of merit for the hereafter.

In Mārkaṇḍeya’s discourse, he offers ethical instruction by contrasting dharmic effort with deluded negligence, warning that those who refuse learning, austerity, charity, and righteous family duty fail to secure happiness in this life or benefit in the next.
