ऋषयस्ते महात्मान: प्रत्यक्षागमबुद्धयः । कर्मभूमिमिमां प्राप्प पुनर्यान्ति सुरालयम्‌,लौकिक तथा शास्त्रीय ज्ञानको प्रत्यक्ष करनेवाले वे महामना ऋषि इस कर्मभूमिमें आकर फिर देवलोकमें चले जाते हैं

ṛṣayas te mahātmānaḥ pratyakṣāgamabuddhayaḥ | karmabhūmim imāṃ prāpya punar yānti surālayam ||

Para resi agung itu—yang pemahamannya berakar pada penyaksian langsung sekaligus kewibawaan āgama—datang ke dunia ini, ladang tempat karma dijalankan; dan setelah menuntaskan tujuannya, mereka berangkat kembali ke kediaman para dewa.

True spiritual authority combines pratyakṣa (direct realization) with āgama (scriptural tradition). Such realized sages engage the human world as a karmabhūmi—performing or exemplifying right action—and then, having completed their mission, attain higher realms.
