राज्येन राष्ट्रश्न निमन्त्रयमाणा: पित्रा च कृष्णे तव सोदरैश्न । न यज्ञसेनस्य न मातुलानां गृहेषु बाला रतिमाप्नुवन्ति,“कृष्णे! तुम्हारे पिता और भाइयोंने राज्य तथा राजकीय उपकरणों--यान-वाहन आदिकी सुविधा दिखाकर अनेक बार आमन्त्रित किया, तो भी तुम्हारे बच्चे अपने नाना यज्ञसेन और मामा धृष्टद्युम्न आदिके घरोंमें रहना पसंद नहीं करते हैं--वहाँ उनका मन नहीं लगता है

rājyena rāṣṭreṇa nimantrayāmāṇāḥ pitṛā ca kṛṣṇe tava sodaraiś ca | na yajñasenasya na mātulānāṃ gṛheṣu bālā ratim āpnuvanti ||

“Wahai Kṛṣṇā! Walau ayahmu dan saudara-saudaramu berulang kali mengundang mereka—menawarkan kemewahan kuasa kerajaan dan segala sarana negeri—anak-anakmu tidak menemukan kesenangan tinggal di rumah Yājñasena maupun di rumah para paman dari pihak ibu; hati mereka tidak betah di sana.”
