हाहाकृतमभूत् सर्व वृष्ण्यन्धकबलं तत: । प्रद्ुम्ने मोहिते राजन् परे च मुदिता भूशम्,राजन! प्रद्युम्मके मोहित होनेपर वृष्णि और अन्धकवंशकी सारी सेनामें हाहाकार मच गया और शत्रुलोग अत्यन्त प्रसन्नतासे खिल उठे
hāhākṛtam abhūt sarvaṁ vṛṣṇyandhakabalaṁ tataḥ | pradyumne mohite rājan pare ca muditā bhūśam ||
Wahai Raja, ketika Pradyumna terhuyung dalam pingsan, seluruh bala Vṛṣṇi dan Andhaka pun diliputi jerit ratap dan kekacauan; pihak lawan sangat bersukacita.
वायुदेव उवाच

Vāyu reports that when Pradyumna becomes bewildered, the Vṛṣṇi–Andhaka forces erupt in panic and lamentation, while the enemy side takes heart and rejoices greatly at this sudden advantage.
