Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined, rule-bound martial action: power is not mere violence but a controlled use of skill and divinely sanctioned weapons in the service of a warrior’s duty (kṣatriya-dharma), aimed at restoring order against hostile forces.

Arjuna describes how the arrows he released from the Gāṇḍīva, empowered by invoked astras, unfailingly sought out the assembled enemies and struck them down, severing their heads wherever they were found.
