निवातकवचवधः — Arjuna’s Neutralization of the Nivātakavacas

ततोअतुष्यत् सहस्राक्षस्तेन कामेन मे विभु: । एवं मे वसतो राजन्नेष कालोत्यगाद् दिवि,अस्त्रविद्याकी ओर मेरी ऐसी अभिरुचि होनेसे सहसनेत्रधारी भगवान् इन्द्र मुझपर बहुत संतुष्ट रहते थे। राजन! इस प्रकार स्वर्गमें रहकर मेरा यह समय सुखपूर्वक बीतने लगा
tato ’tuṣyat sahasrākṣas tena kāmena me vibhuḥ | evaṃ me vasato rājann eṣa kālo ’tyagād divi ||
Karena hasratku yang sungguh-sungguh untuk pengetahuan senjata-senjata surgawi, Indra yang Perkasa, Sang Seribu Mata, sangat berkenan kepadaku. Wahai Raja, demikianlah ketika aku tinggal di surga, waktuku berlalu dengan menyenangkan, tanpa kesukaran.
अजुन उवाच
Focused aspiration and disciplined pursuit of worthy knowledge (here, divine weapon-lore for righteous protection) attracts the goodwill of the divine; time spent in such purposeful training becomes fruitful and harmonious.
Arjuna tells the king that Indra became pleased with him due to his strong interest in learning celestial weapons, and that while he stayed in heaven under Indra’s favor, his time there passed comfortably.
