निवातकवचवधः — Arjuna’s Neutralization of the Nivātakavacas

बहुमानाच्च गात्राणि पस्पर्श मम वासव: | तत्राहं देवगन्धर्व: सहितो भूरिदक्षिण,इतना ही नहीं, उन्होंने बड़े आदरके साथ मेरे अंगोंपर हाथ फेरा। यज्ञोंमें पूरी दक्षिणा देनेवाले भरतश्रेष्ठ) उस स्वर्गलोकमें देवताओं और गन्धर्वोके साथ अस्त्रविद्याकी प्राप्तिके लिये रहने लगा और प्रतिदिन अस्त्रोंका अभ्यास करने लगा। उस समय गन्धर्वराज विश्वावसुके पुत्र चित्रसेनके साथ मेरी मैत्री हो गयी थी

arjuna uvāca | bahumānāc ca gātrāṇi pasparśa mama vāsavaḥ | tatrāhaṃ devagandharvaiḥ sahito bhūridakṣiṇa svargaloke 'stravidyāprāptaye nyavasam ca pratidinam astrāṇām abhyāsaṃ cakāra | tasmin kāle gandharvarāja-viśvāvasoḥ putreṇa citrasenena mama maitrī samajāyata |

Arjuna berkata: “Karena hormat yang besar, Vāsava (Indra) bahkan menyentuh anggota tubuhku dengan tangannya sendiri. Di alam surga itu—wahai Bhārata, pemberi daksina yang melimpah dalam yajña—aku tinggal di tengah para dewa dan Gandharwa demi meraih penguasaan ilmu senjata, dan setiap hari aku berlatih menggunakan senjata. Pada masa itu pula aku menjalin persahabatan dengan Citraseṇa, putra raja Gandharwa Viśvāvasu.”
