दमो दान बल बुद्धि्नीर्धतिस्तेज उत्तमम् । एतान्यपि महासत्त्वे स्थितान्यमिततेजसि,अमित तेजस्वी और महान् सत्त्वशाली अर्जुनमें दम (इन्द्रिय-संयम), दान, बल, बुद्धि, लज्जा, धैर्य तथा उत्तम तेज--ये सभी सदगुण विद्यमान हैं
damo dāna bala buddhir nīr-dhṛtis teja uttamam | etāny api mahāsattve sthitāny amit-tejasi |
Dhanada berkata: “Pengendalian diri, kedermawanan, kekuatan, kecerdasan, rasa malu yang luhur, keteguhan hati, dan sinar kemuliaan tertinggi—semua kebajikan ini pun teguh bersemayam dalam diri Arjuna, yang berhati agung dan bercahaya tak terukur.”
धनद उवाच
True excellence is not merely martial prowess; it is grounded in ethical virtues—self-restraint, generosity, discernment, modesty, steadfastness, and inner radiance—present together in an ideal hero.
Dhanada (Kubera) speaks in praise of Arjuna, listing the noble qualities that are firmly established in him, thereby affirming Arjuna’s worthiness and moral stature.
