The verse presents an ideal of excellence that unites artha (practical governance and material order) with dharma (moral and religious law). Arjuna is praised not merely for prowess but for disciplined knowledge of right conduct and proper regulation—suggesting that power and success are ethically grounded when guided by dharma.
Dhanada (Kubera) speaks about Arjuna, identifying him as Bhima’s younger brother and lauding his mastery of artha and dharma. He then states that Arjuna is presently safe and flourishing in the celestial realm (divi), situating Arjuna’s status and well-being within a heavenly context.
