Kuberasaras-darśana (Bhīma beholds Kubera’s guarded lotus-lake) / कुबेरसरः-दर्शनम्

वार्ताधर्मे ह्ुवर्तिन्यो विनश्येयुरिमा: प्रजा: । सुप्रवृत्तैस्त्रिभिह तिर्धर्म सूयन्ति वै प्रजा:,यदि यह प्रजा वार्ता-धर्म (कृषि, गोरक्षा और वाणिज्य) में प्रवृत्त न हो तो नष्ट हो जायगी। इन तीनोंकी सम्यक प्रवृत्ति होनेसे प्रजा धर्मका सम्पादन करती है

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

vārtādharme hy avartinyo vinaśyeyur imāḥ prajāḥ |

supravṛttais tribhir hi tair dharmaṃ sūyanti vai prajāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Jika rakyat ini tidak menekuni dharma penghidupan—pertanian, perlindungan ternak (sapi), dan perdagangan—mereka akan binasa. Namun bila ketiganya dijalankan dengan semestinya, rakyat sungguh menumbuhkan dan menegakkan dharma (tatanan sosial dan hidup benar).
