बलिहोमनमस्कारेैर्मन्त्रैक्ष भरतर्षभ । दैवतानि प्रसादं हि भक्त्या कुर्वन्ति भारत,भरतश्रेष्ठ! पूजा, होम, नमस्कार, मन्त्रजप तथा भक्तिभावसे देवता प्रसन्न होकर कृपा करते हैं
balihomanamaskārair mantraiś ca bharatarṣabha | daivatāni prasādaṃ hi bhaktyā kurvanti bhārata ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai yang terbaik di antara Bharata, melalui persembahan, homa, penghormatan dengan sujud, dan japa mantra, para dewa menjadi berkenan; dan wahai Bhārata, karena bhakti-lah mereka menganugerahkan rahmat.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Ritual acts—offerings, fire-oblations, salutations, and mantra-recitation—are meaningful when grounded in bhakti; devotion is presented as the decisive factor that wins divine favor and grace.
Vaiśampāyana, in the course of his narration, explains to a Bhārata listener that the gods become pleased through devotional worship expressed via standard ritual forms, emphasizing the link between sincere reverence and divine assistance.
