प्रचलन्ति न वै धर्मात्‌ तपोदानपरायणा: । स्वधर्मस्था: क्रियावन्तो नरास्त्रेतायुगे5डभवन्‌,त्रेतायुगके मनुष्य तप और दानमें तत्पर रहकर अपने धर्मसे कभी विचलित नहीं होते थे। सभी स्वधर्मपरायण तथा क्रियावान्‌ थे

pracalanti na vai dharmāt tapodānaparāyaṇāḥ | svadharmasthāḥ kriyāvanto narās tretāyuge 'bhavan ||

Pada Tretā Yuga, mereka yang tekun dalam tapa dan dāna tidak pernah menyimpang dari dharma. Mereka teguh dalam svadharma masing-masing dan giat melaksanakan karya-karya yang ditetapkan.
