स मे भ्राता महावीर्यस्तुल्यो5हं तस्य तेजसा । बले पराक्रमे युद्धे शक्तोडहं तव निग्रहे,वे महापराक्रमी वानरवीर मेरे भाई लगते हैं। मैं भी उन्हींके समान तेजस्वी, बलवान् और पराक्रमी हूँ तथा युद्धमें तुम्हें परास्त कर सकता हूँ
sa me bhrātā mahāvīryas tulyo 'haṃ tasya tejasā | bale parākrame yuddhe śakto 'haṃ tava nigrahe ||
Dia saudaraku, pahlawan berdaya besar; dalam kemilau wibawa aku setara dengannya. Dalam kekuatan, keberanian, dan pertempuran pun aku sanggup menundukkanmu.
भीम उवाच
The verse highlights the warrior ethic: confidence in one’s strength must be tied to honor and rightful purpose—asserting capability to restrain an opponent while recognizing kinship and comparable prowess.
Bhima, speaking to a powerful being he identifies as his brother, declares himself equal in splendor and capable in battle of subduing the other—an escalation that frames a test of strength and humility in the surrounding episode.
