Gandhamādana-praveśa and the Sudden Storm (गन्धमादनप्रवेशः — चण्डवातवर्षवर्णनम्)
The verse highlights dharmic conduct in approaching higher authority: humility (añjali), recognition of moral accountability (Brahmā as lokasākṣin), and the preference for respectful petition and truthful speech when seeking direction.
A group (contextually, those present in the episode) approaches Brahmā, described as the lordly deity and witness of the worlds. They join their hands in reverence and begin to speak—introducing a request, inquiry, or appeal that follows in subsequent verses.
