Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes inner discipline on a sacred journey: one should proceed with a composed, concentrated mind (samāhita) and without anxiety (nirudvigna), especially when approaching holy places associated with gods and accomplished sages.

A guide/speaker directs the Pāṇḍavas toward the divine Mount Mandara, instructing them to remain calm and focused as they traverse a route regarded as a celestial region inhabited by gods and meritorious seers.
