The Slaying of Yavakrīta at Raibhya’s Hermitage
यवक्रीस्तामुवाचेदमुपातिष्ठस्व मामिति । निर्लज्जो लज्जया युक्तां कामेन हृतचेतन:,देखते ही वह कामदेवके वशीभूत हो अपनी विचारशक्ति खो बैठा और लजाती हुई उस मुनि-वधूसे निर्लज्ज होकर बोला--'सुन्दरी! तू मेरी सेवामें उपस्थित हो”
Yavakrīḥ tām uvācedam upātiṣṭhasva mām iti | nirlajjo lajjayā yuktāṁ kāmena hṛtacetanaḥ ||
Dikuasai nafsu hingga hilang kejernihan budi, Yavakrīta yang tak tahu malu berkata kepada istri resi itu yang penuh rasa malu: “Datanglah, layani aku; berdirilah dalam pengabdianku.”
