वालुकामुष्टिमनिशं भागीरथ्यां व्यसर्जयत्‌ । सेतुमभ्यारभच्छक्रो यवक्रीतं निदर्शयन्‌,वे निरन्तर एक-एक मुट्ठी बालू गंगाजीमें छोड़ते थे और इस प्रकार उन्होंने यवक्रीतको दिखाकर पुल बाँधनेका कार्य आरम्भ कर दिया

Transliteration

vālukā-muṣṭim aniśaṃ bhāgīrathyāṃ vyasarjayat | setum abhyārabhac chakro yavakrītaṃ nidarśayan ||

Translation

Ia tanpa henti melemparkan segenggam demi segenggam pasir ke Bhāgīrathī; dan sambil menunjuk Yavakrīta sebagai teladan, Śakra mulai mengerjakan pembangunan tanggul-jembatan.
