लोगश उवाच
The verse implicitly frames royal leisure within dharma: even recreation by a king occurs in a moral universe where subsequent choices can uphold or compromise restraint, responsibility, and propriety.
A time lapse is marked, and King Śaryāti arrives at a beautiful, excellent lake with the intention of enjoying recreation there, setting the scene for the next events.
