ततो यज्ञेन महता जामदग्न्य: प्रतापवान्‌ | तर्पयामास देवेन्द्रमृत्विग्भ्य: प्रददौ महीम्‌,तदनन्तर प्रतापी जमदग्निकुमारने एक महान्‌ यज्ञ करके देवराज इन्द्रको तृप्त किया तथा ऋत्विजोंको दक्षिणारूपमें भूमि दी

tato yajñena mahatā jāmadagnyaḥ pratāpavān | tarpayāmāsa devendram ṛtvigbhyaḥ pradadau mahīm ||

Kemudian Jāmadagnya (Paraśurāma) yang penuh wibawa melaksanakan yajña agung, menenteramkan Indra, raja para dewa; dan sebagai dakṣiṇā ia menganugerahkan tanah kepada para ṛtvij (imam pelaksana).
