Educational Q&A

This line is a colophon rather than a didactic verse: its function is to close the chapter and locate it within the Mahābhārata’s structure. Indirectly, it highlights the text’s pedagogical method—ethical and dharmic instruction is often delivered through pilgrimage settings and embedded episodes (upākhyānas).

The chapter concludes. The colophon states that the narrative belongs to the Vana Parva, within the pilgrimage section, specifically in Lomāśa’s pilgrimage account, and that this chapter is part of the Ṛṣyaśujra episode.
