अंशुमानेवमुक्तस्तु सगरेण महात्मना | जगाम दु:खात् तं देशं यत्र वै दारिता मही,महात्मा सगरके ऐसा कहनेपर अंशुमान् बड़े दुःखसे उस स्थानपर गये जहाँ पृथ्वी विदीर्ण की गयी थी
Aṁśumān evam uktaḥ tu Sagareṇa mahātmanā | jagāma duḥkhāt taṁ deśaṁ yatra vai dāritā mahī ||
Demikian ditegur oleh Mahātmā Sagara, Aṁśumān—dipenuhi beban duka—pergi ke tempat itu juga, tempat bumi pernah terbelah.
सगर उवाच
The verse highlights dharma as steadfast performance of one’s duty: Aṁśumān accepts Sagara’s directive and moves forward even while burdened by grief, showing obedience, perseverance, and moral resolve in the face of hardship.
After Sagara speaks to him, Aṁśumān departs sorrowfully and goes to the specific location where the earth had been split—indicating he is beginning or continuing a difficult search/mission connected with that ruptured place.
