(Sagara-Upākhyāna): Śiva’s boon and the extraordinary birth of Sagara’s progeny
yāvad āgamanam mahāṃ tāvat tvaṃ pratipālaya | nivṛtte mayi śailendra tato vardhasva kāmataḥ ||
Sampai aku kembali, tunggulah dan tahanlah dirimu. Wahai raja gunung, setelah aku pulang, barulah engkau boleh tumbuh lagi sesukamu.
The verse emphasizes restraint and acting at the proper time: even power or growth should be governed by agreed limits and deferred until the right moment, reflecting dharma as disciplined self-control.
Lomaśa addresses the ‘lord of mountains,’ instructing him to wait until Lomaśa returns; only after that return is the mountain permitted to resume growing freely.
