māṃ ca kuśalinī brūyās teṣu bhūyo janārdana | ariṣṭaṃ gaccha panthānaṃ putrān me pratipālaya ||
Dan katakan pula kepada mereka sekali lagi, wahai Janārdana, bahwa aku pun dalam keadaan sejahtera. Tempuhlah jalan tanpa mara bahaya; lindungilah putra-putraku.
पुत्र उवाच
Even in tense political circumstances, one should uphold dharma through concern for others’ welfare (kuśala), offer blessings for safe travel (ariṣṭa), and accept responsibility to protect those entrusted to one’s care (pratipālana).
A speaker addresses Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa), asking him to convey greetings and well-being to the Pāṇḍavas (with Draupadī and the sons), to report back about the speaker’s welfare, and to proceed safely while protecting the speaker’s sons.
