एतद्विदितमार्यस्य विवासकरणं तव । भर्तुर्भवतु कि चान्यत् क्रियतां तद् वदस्व मे,मेरे पतिदेव-आर्यपुत्रके प्रवासका यह कारण आपको विदित हो। उनके दर्शनके सिवा और क्या काम है? यह मुझे बताइये; जिससे वह पूर्ण किया जाय
etad viditam āryasya vivāsakaraṇaṁ tava | bhartur bhavatu ki cānyat kriyatāṁ tad vadasva me ||
Engkau telah mengetahui, wahai yang mulia, sebab pengasingan suamimu. Apa lagi yang tersisa selain memperoleh pertemuan dengannya? Katakan kepadaku apa yang harus dilakukan, agar itu dapat diselesaikan sebagaimana mestinya.
ब्राह्मण उवाच
The verse frames ethical action as purposeful and relational: once the cause of suffering (exile) is understood, the immediate dharmic priority becomes restoring rightful association—seeking the husband’s presence—and then acting decisively on whatever practical steps are required.
A brāhmaṇa speaker addresses a woman (or interlocutor) who knows the reason for her husband’s exile, and asks her to specify what action should be taken—implying that the central aim is to obtain the husband’s darśana (meeting) and to carry out the needed means to achieve it.
