जपयोगयोः तुल्यफलनिर्णयः
Adhyāya 193: Adjudication of the Comparable Fruits of Japa and Yoga
जो लोभ और मोहसे युक्त हो एक दूसरेको खा जानेके लिये उद्यत रहते हैं, वे भी इसी लोकमें आवागमन करते रहते हैं, उत्तरदिशाके उत्कृष्ट लोकमें नहीं जाने पाते हैं ।।
bharadvāja uvāca | ye lobha-mohābhyāṁ yuktā anyonyam khāditum udyatāḥ santi, te ’pi asmin loke punar-āvartante; na tu uttaradiśaḥ utkṛṣṭaṁ lokaṁ gacchanti || ye gurūn paryupāsante niyatā brahmacāriṇaḥ, manasendriyāṇi saṁyamya; panthānaṁ sarva-lokānāṁ vijānanti manīṣiṇaḥ ||
Bharadvāja berkata: “Mereka yang terikat oleh loba dan delusi, selalu siap saling melahap, terus berputar dalam kelahiran dan kematian di dunia ini; mereka tidak mencapai alam unggul di arah utara. Namun para brahmacārin yang berdisiplin, mengekang pikiran dan indra, serta tekun melayani guru—para bijak itu memahami jalan-jalan menuju semua alam.”
