एवं विचिन्तयामास मूषिक: शरत्रुचेष्टितम्
evaṁ vicintayāmāsa mūṣikaḥ śatrucēṣṭitam |
Demikianlah si tikus menimbang dengan saksama siasat musuhnya. Ia mahir mengenali cara mencapai tujuan, dan tahu kapan harus berdamai atau berkonflik. Ia menenangkan si kucing lalu berkata dengan tutur yang manis—
