Pacification of Gāndhārī and Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel at Hāstinapura
The verse highlights the ethical tension at the moment of departure: before action in war, speech—advice, warning, or encouragement—often frames responsibility and intention, underscoring that decisive acts should be preceded by mindful counsel.
As a key figure is about to depart for action, others speak to him. The line identifies him through his mount—Śaibya and Sugrīva—signaling readiness for movement and the transition from deliberation to engagement.
