त्वमेवाकाशगा देवि मेघेषु सृजसे पय: । सर्वाक्षापस्त्वमेवेति त्वत्तो वयमधीमहि,'देवि! तुम्हीं आकाशमें जाकर मेघोंमें जलकी सृष्टि करती हो, तुम्हीं सम्पूर्ण जल हो; तुमसे ही हम ऋषिगण वेदोंका अध्ययन करते हैं
tvam evākāśagā devi meghēṣu sṛjase payaḥ | sarvākṣāpās tvam eveti tvatto vayam adhīmahi ||
Vasiṣṭha berkata: “Wahai Dewi, engkaulah yang bergerak di angkasa dan di dalam awan menciptakan air. Engkaulah seluruh hakikat air. Dari engkaulah kami para ṛṣi memperoleh daya untuk mempelajari Veda.”
