अध्याय १: उत्पात-दर्शनम् तथा वृष्णि-विनाश-श्रवणम्
Omens Observed and the Hearing of the Vṛṣṇi Destruction
एते चान्ये च बहव उत्पाता भयशंसिन: । दृश्यन्ते बहवो राजन् हृदयोद्वेगकारका:
ete cānye ca bahava utpātā bhayaśaṃsinaḥ | dṛśyante bahavo rājan hṛdayodvegakārakāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Inilah dan banyak pertanda lain yang menubuatkan ketakutan; semuanya tampak dalam jumlah besar, wahai Raja, dan mengguncang hati.”
