Even in a violent and morally complex battlefield, clarity of perception and steadiness of mind are essential. Kṛṣṇa’s calm identification of the approaching foe models leadership: naming reality without panic, helping the warrior act with disciplined resolve rather than fear or confusion.
Sañjaya narrates that Kṛṣṇa, smiling, points out to Arjuna an approaching chariot distinguished by white horses and by having Śalya as charioteer—signaling the arrival of a major opponent and setting the stage for the next clash.
