इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत कर्णपर्वमें वृषसेनका वधविषयक पचासीवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ ८५ ॥ नशा (0) आज अन+- षडशीतितमो<्ध्याय: कर्णके साथ युद्ध करनेके विषयमें श्रीकृष्ण और पा की बातचीत तथा अर्जुनका कर्णके सामने उपस्थित संजय उवाच तमायान्तमभिप्रेक्ष्य वेलोद्वृत्तमिवार्णवम् । गर्जन्तं सुमहाकायं दुर्निवारं सुरैरपि
sañjaya uvāca |
tam āyāntam abhiprekṣya velodvṛttam ivārṇavam |
garjantaṁ sumahākāyaṁ durnivāraṁ surair api ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, melihatnya maju—laksana samudra yang meluap melampaui garis pantai—Karṇa yang bertubuh raksasa datang mengaum. Bahkan para dewa pun sukar menahannya.”
