कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
स्थाणुरुवाच यदि शक्तिर्न वः काचिद् बिभर्तु मामकं॑ बलम् | अहमेतान् हनिष्यामि युष्मत्तेजो<र्धबृंहित:,भगवान् शिव बोले--देवगण! यदि मेरे बलको धारण करनमेमें तुम्हारी सामर्थ्य नहीं है तो मैं ही तुमलोगोंके आधे तेजसे परिपुष्ट हो इन दैत्योंका वध करूँगा
sthāṇur uvāca yadi śaktir na vaḥ kācid bibhartu māmakaṃ balam | aham etān haniṣyāmi yuṣmat-tejo'rdha-bṛṃhitaḥ ||
Sthāṇu (Śiva) bersabda: “Wahai para dewa! Jika tak seorang pun di antara kalian mampu menanggung kekuatan-Ku, maka Aku sendiri—diteguhkan oleh separuh tējā kolektif kalian—akan membinasakan para Daitya ini.”
