In moments of danger, refuge in the all-pervading divine protector is presented as a source of fearlessness; sincere praise and remembrance of the Lord who pervades all can steady the mind and restore courage.
Duryodhana recounts that ‘they’ (the gods, in the surrounding story) praised the great Lord—described as the universal Self and giver of fearlessness—using pleasing words, highlighting divine support and protection amid peril.
