Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 95 — Sātyaki’s Breakthrough and the Routing of Allied Contingents
As a colophon-style closing, the verse does not teach a doctrine directly; it frames the ethical weight of the war by highlighting that celebrated fighters fall one after another, reminding the listener that violence—once unleashed—moves forward with grave and often irreversible consequences.
Sañjaya signals the end of the chapter within Droṇa Parva, specifying that this chapter’s subject was the slaying of Śrutāyudha and Yudākṣiṇ, and situating it within the broader Jayadratha-vadha episode.
