द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय ८७: सात्यकेरनुयात्रा
Sātyaki’s resolve and departure to reach Arjuna
द्रोणस्यासीदविरतो गृहे तं न शृणोम्यहम् । द्रोणाचार्यके घरमें निरन्तर धनुषकी प्रत्यंचाका घोष, वेदमन्त्रोंके उच्चारणकी ध्वनि तथा तोमर, तलवार एवं रथके शब्द गूँजते रहते थे; परंतु अब मैं वहाँ वहाँ वह शब्द नहीं सुन रहा हूँ
droṇasyāsīd avirato gṛhe taṁ na śṛṇomy aham |
Dhṛtarāṣṭra berkata: “Di rumah Droṇa dahulu ada bunyi yang tak putus-putus—dentang tali busur dan lantunan mantra-mantra Weda. Riuh tombak, pedang, dan kereta perang pun menggema di sana. Namun kini, di tempat itu, aku tak lagi mendengar suara-suara tersebut.”
