Droṇasya raudra-prayogaḥ
Droṇa’s intensified assault and the Pāṇḍava response
ते त्वन्योन्यं सुसंरब्धा: पाण्डवा: कौरवै: सह
te tv anyonyaṃ susaṃrabdhāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ kauravaiḥ saha
Sañjaya berkata: Para Pāṇḍawa, diliputi permusuhan yang menyala-nyala, beradu dengan para Kaurawa. Tekad kedua pihak berkobar; tekanan moral perang dan kekerasan yang terikat kewajiban kian mencengkeram.
संजय उवाच
The line highlights how, in war, reciprocal anger (anyonyaṃ susaṃrabdhāḥ) escalates conflict: both sides become mutually inflamed. Ethically, it points to the Mahābhārata’s recurring tension—dharma may compel action, yet uncontrolled rage can cloud discernment and deepen collective suffering.
Sañjaya reports that the Pāṇḍavas and Kauravas are confronting one another directly, fighting together in close engagement, with heightened fury and intensity as the battle in Droṇa Parva continues.
