तान् प्रत्यगृह्नादव्यग्रो द्रोणोडपि रथिनां वर: । महारथानतिबलान् वीरान् समरयोधिन:,उस समय रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ आचार्य द्रोणने घबराहट छोड़कर उन अत्यन्त बलवान् समरभूमिमें युद्ध करनेवाले महारथी वीरोंको रोक दिया
tān pratyagṛhnād avyagro droṇo 'pi rathināṃ varaḥ | mahārathān atibalān vīrān samarayodhinaḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: Maka Droṇa pun—yang utama di antara para pejuang kereta—tanpa kehilangan ketenangan, menahan laju para pahlawan itu, para mahāratha yang amat kuat, yang mendesak maju untuk bertempur.
