अध्याय ३१ — द्रोणानीके तुमुलसंग्रामः
The Tumultuous Battle around Droṇa’s Formation
तथा भागविपर्यसे: संग्रामे भैरवे सति । वीरा: समासदन् वीरान् कुर्वन्तो भैरवं रवम्,इस प्रकार भागविपर्ययद्वारा भयंकर संग्राम आरम्भ होनेपर भैरव-गर्जना करते हुए उभय पक्षके वीरोंने विपक्षी वीरोंपर आक्रमण किया
tathā bhāga-viparyaye saṅgrāme bhairave sati | vīrāḥ samāsadan vīrān kurvanto bhairavaṃ ravam ||
Demikianlah, ketika pertempuran dahsyat itu mulai dalam kekacauan dan pembalikan susunan pasukan, para kesatria dari kedua pihak—mengumandangkan raungan menggetarkan—maju merapat dan menyerbu para pahlawan lawan.
