विव्याध निशितैर्बाणैर्भीमसेनममर्षण: । तब महातेजस्वी अमर्षशील द्रोणकुमारने उस बाणवर्षाको नष्ट करके भीमसेनको पैने बाणोंसे बींध डाला
sañjaya uvāca | vivyādha niśitair bāṇair bhīmasenam amarṣaṇaḥ |
Sañjaya berkata: Sang pejuang yang tak menahan amarah itu menembus Bhīmasena dengan anak panah yang tajam. Lalu putra Droṇa—bercahaya dan garang—lebih dahulu mematahkan hujan panah yang datang, kemudian melukai Bhīma dengan bidikan yang runcing.
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya reports that the wrathful fighter—understood in context as Droṇa’s son Aśvatthāman—cuts down the opposing arrow-shower and then pierces Bhīma with sharp arrows, marking a fierce exchange between major warriors in the Droṇa Parva battle.
