Mahabharata 7.198.47 — Drona Parva, Adhyaya 198, Shloka 47
सम्प्राप्य तादृशीं वृत्ति सत्कृतः सततं परै: । अवृणीत सदा पुत्रान् मामेवाभ्यधिकं गुरु:
samprāpya tādṛśīṁ vṛttiṁ satkṛtaḥ satataṁ paraiḥ | avṛṇīta sadā putrān mām evābhyadhikaṁ guruḥ ||
Bahkan musuh-musuh kami senantiasa memuliakan Sang Ācārya; meski dari mereka beliau memperoleh penghidupan yang demikian baik, sang guru tetap selalu memilihku—menganggapku lebih utama daripada putra-putranya sendiri.
