Ketika pertempuran terus berkecamuk dan di tengah sengitnya laga para kesatria pihak Dhṛtarāṣṭra mulai terkikis, ayahmu—diliputi amarah yang menyala—menampakkan senjata agung, Brahmāstra.
कृप उवाच
The verse highlights how anger and desperation in war can drive leaders to escalate conflict by deploying catastrophic weapons, raising ethical questions about proportionality and restraint (dharma) even amid battlefield pressure.
Kṛpa describes a moment when the Kaurava side is faltering in the ongoing battle; in response, the listener’s father (Droṇa) becomes furious and manifests/discharges a powerful astric weapon, identified in the Hindi gloss as the Brahmāstra.
